Privacy
HireFix is a small equipment hire business run by Dean Scott in Totara Vale, North Shore, Auckland. This page explains what we do with the personal information you give us. We follow the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
What we collect
- Your name, phone number, email and message when you use the quote form, call, text or email us.
- We check photo ID when you collect gear, and may note the details so we know who has it.
- Hire and payment records (what you hired, when, and bond paid and refunded).
Why we collect it
Only to answer your enquiry, arrange and manage your hire, get our gear back, and keep the records the law requires. We don't sell or share your details for marketing.
Who else sees it
The quote form is sent to our email through a form service (Web3Forms). Our email is Google Gmail. We may also need to share details with our accountant or IRD, or with police or insurers if gear is lost, stolen or damaged.
How long we keep it
We only keep enquiries for as long as we need them. Hire and payment records are kept for as long as NZ tax law requires.

You can ask to see or correct the information we hold about you. Email hirefixnz@gmail.com or call 022 175 2431. If you're not happy with how we handle it, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
